ODHA
(Omaha component #2)

The Omaha Component would like to welcome all dental hygienists residing inside & outside the greater Omaha area to join us for a great year of speakers and topics.  Our courses are public events and we encourage you to invite a dental hygiene colleague/employer/staff member to any course.

The 2010-11 year will offer over 14 hours of CEU's which is a GREAT opportunity to obtain so many credit hours right here in the Omaha area! All dental hygienists living in the greater Omaha area will receive a packet of information the first week of August which will contain our course information as well as other pertinent information. A downloadable registration form will be available via this website the first week of August.

New this year will be an opportunity to renew your CPR certification. This will be a renewal course and we encourage you to invite your office to participate. We will also offer a "RDH Meet, Greet & Share Group" which will be held 3-4 times throughout the year, allowing dental hygienists a forum to discuss issues relating to dental hygiene. Join us for any of the 4 meetings that work with your schedule and develop new friendships along the way! Space will be limited with each of these new opportunities, so please RSVP.

The majority of our meetings will be held at Security National Bank, 101st Street & Pacific Street, Omaha. Parking is available to the east of the bank entrance doors. Please enter through the main doors of the bank and walk to the left side of the lobby area to find the meeting room.

Most courses are scheduled from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm with registration beginning at 6:00 pm. We allow questions from the audience once the course ends at 8:30 pm. Some evenings the question & answer period may last until 9:00'ish. Occasionally an update will be given after the course regarding important information that relates to dental hygiene. We encourage all participants, including students to stay for these important updates. Feel free to stay after the course to visit and meet new people. Our only request is that everyone depart from Security National Bank no later than 10:00 pm.

Our meeting room capacity is 100. We encourage RSVP's so we know how many seats are available for walk-in's. If you live in the greater Omaha area, you will receive a course event registration form in August. If you did not receive it, please download the course event list via this website (available in August) and mail to Annette Byman, 1214 N. 160th St., Omaha, NE  68118 with course selections.  Remember...All courses are first come, first serve. Once we reach capacity, we will not be able to accept further participants.  Payment reserves your place in the course. The majority of our courses in the 2009-10 year averaged 75-85 participants. Due to the fact that 2011 will be a renewal year for licensure, we anticipate these courses may very well reach full capacity. Register early to reserve your place!

Please check the website regularly to stay informed. Unforeseen circumstances can occur which may affect course details. Cancellations due to weather will be posted on the website as soon as possible. An email will be sent to participants that have registered and provided us with an email address notifying you of course changes or cancellations.

All dental hygienists attending courses must show proof of membership by presenting your ADHA membership card at the registration table. We do accept ADHA members from other states at the same rate as an NDHA member, which is typically FREE for most courses. If you are not a member and are interested in joining, please visit ADHA's website at: www.adha.org
or contact the Omaha Component Membership Chair, Susan Sutton, RDH at 402-884-1686

Dental hygienists who are not members of ADHA, staff members and dentists are invited to attend for a $25.00 fee*. (*unless otherwise specified below)  Cash or checks are acceptable. Credit cards are not accepted...we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Email notices and reminders will be sent on a regular basis. Provide us with your email address: annettebyman@hotmail.com

Questions or comments: Please direct to Annette Byman, RDH at 402-965-3514

Thank you,
